Math Homework TIPS
1.) Be open to the way your parents would solve the problems. It’s OK if their way is different; in fact, it’s great! The more ways you know, the better. Multiple strategies and approaches are what make awesome, flexible, fluent mathematical thinkers.
2.) Please, please show your work. This isn’t a punishment, I promise! This is an opportunity to peek inside your brain to see how you what you are thinking and how you are solving.
3.) Don’t freak out if you are having trouble. Persist! Keep trying. It’s GOOD FOR YOUR BRAIN to struggle and make mistakes.
